Chapter I
1. There could be the temptation to believe that with the way this Third Book of Emancipation begins that it is the beginning of slavery CE,
2. But the reality is that it has no beginning in the modern era.
3. It has always been, it still exists even into the 21st Century, and will continue to exist for as long as we have a system that is based on a form of currency.
4. They existed in Sumeria, and in the 21st Century the slave trade is alive and well and living in Africa and to a lesser degree in Asia and around the world.
5. It is unfortunate that as a general rule the human race, or more specifically, those in power, will not deal with a problem unless it is a stinking corpse on its doorstep.
6. Of course those that are unafraid of appearances will talk of the other form of slavery that exists today.
7. Those living on low wages who struggle for existence in our society and whose lives are miserable.
8. As has been said before, the slave loses everything in his slavery, even his desire to escape from it.
9. It is more pronounced in a country like America where there is no social safety net,
10. And it has created an underclass of people who feel trapped and struggle, and with the exception of the beatings, there is a very strong correlation between the slaves of the eighteenth and nineteenth century, and this underclass.
11. Many would say "how dare you make such a comparison and make light of what the slaves went through".
12. But the opposite side of the coin is "how dare you make light of what some people are going through today by arguing semantics, when under analysis there is such a strong comparison to be made".
